Sarah Phillips, Founder and CEO
Since 2000, I’ve been CBO (Chief Baking Officer) of baking911.com, a baking help website filled with over 2,000 recipes and step-by-step tutorials.
I have been baking and cooking my whole life – professionally since 1989 – all day, everyday. In my second published book, Baking 9-1-1 (Simon & Schuster), 2003, I have proven that ingredients can be used cold from the refrigerator with today’s electric mixers, saving valuable time in the kitchen. (My first cookbook was The Healthy Oven Baking Book, 1999, Doubleday.)
I have been written up numerous times in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Saveur Magazine and Gourmet Magazine named baking911.com as one of their top 95 favorite food websites and blogs!
In late 2009, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and it has been my goal ever since to create delicious, classic recipes that celiacs and non-celiacs alike can enjoy.
I joined Sarah and baking911.com in 2007, as its Contributing Editor, Food Stylist and photographer. I have been working as a professional ceramic artist for over 25 years, and I approach baking as an art form, as well. My passion for baking began when I was 8 years old.
